Gulf card has been focusing on providing ID card solutions to governments and other major organizations and ministries in the region for the last 24 years, e.g. CPR Card for Government of Bahrain, Driving license system for Government of Bahrain, Civil Identification Card for Government of Kuwait and many others. In 2004 Gulf Card was awarded a Smart Card turnkey contract by Government of Kingdom of Bahrain to design, develop and implement a multi-application Smart Card Solution. The Solution also involves a implementation of Government PKI . The Smart Card also incorporates a electronic purse and contact less micro-payment. Due to Gulf Card experience in the Smart Card arena, they were short-listed and finally chosen from a field of local and international companies and consortium. Within 9 month we have the whole system running which includes National Identity Card, Driving License and Immigration Services. The turnkey Solution also includes e-gate, kiosks and mobile card acceptance devices.

Today Gulf Card is not only offering Smart Card based solutions, but looking at enhancing the hardware and Software to meet international standards and be a global player.
